CHALLENGE:

backaldrin International The Kornspitz Company wanted a custom 20x20 island exhibit with a number of specific design elements.

Unlike many other exhibitors at IBIE, backaldrin wanted us to get creative without the use of large pieces of industrial machinery.

We also had to figure out how to construct a structurally-stable booth, while using a single rigging point.

SOLUTION:

We leveraged the build on the metal bracing connecting the arches in order to overcome the stability concerns inherent in using a single rigging point.

We employed the use of arches to give the booth an aesthetically-pleasing, open feel. backaldrin also wanted an elegant, industrial vibe for their booth, so we used two-tone wood grain laminates, faux brick, and powder-coated metal.

Using multi-purpose metal braces, we were able to install overhead spotlights and floating planter boxes on either side of the booth. Other unique features include:

  • In-house, hand-painted brick
  • Real wheat stocks are hand-placed in the custom planter boxes
  • A unique blend of wood grains and metal
  • Industrial look with an open, welcoming feel
  • The small details – matching bar tables, wood grain flooring
  • Use of two-tone wood throughout the exhibit
